In order to promote the prospectus of IPA, Mr Akio Kitamura, the president of Giken Seisakusho Co., Ltd, donated grant for research to IPA Preparatory Committee. Accordingly, the IPA Research Grant Award was founded and Selection Committee has been organized. Thus the first award to support unique and pioneering researches in Press-in Engineering launched out in November 2006.
