Report meetings of 3rd IPA International Workshop took place on 8 Feb in Tokyo and 15 Feb in Kochi for Japanese IPA members, who couldn’t visit Shanghai, China. Total 137 people participated in the meetings and learned activities of IPA, various research themes and the latest information of the press-in engineering.

At the start of the meetings, Mr Takaaki Tanaka summarized 3rd IPA International Workshop. Then the essence of a research result of 2nd IPA Research Grant Award and reseach proposals of 3rd IPA Research Grant Award were presented in Japanese by Assistant Prof. Nagai, Assoc. Prof. Uchimura, Mr Watanabe and Prof. Okabayashi, who actually made presentations in Shanghai.

Summaries of other awarded presentations and special presentations were represented by Mr Ishihara, Ms Ogawa and Dr Okumura with their Japanese interpretation.

Research themes looked improving more sbstantially each time and this report meeting gave attendees an impression that the activity of the IPA was making steady progress. And it was announced that 2nd volume of the IPA Research Papers "PRESS-IN ENGINEERING 2011" would be published in May.
