Presentation of Press-in Engineering, 16 Feb 2007
Taking an opportunity of the IPA General Assembly and Inaugural Workshop, major researches of the press-in engineering were presented to by three speakers. They showed clear vision of achieved researches and future possibilities.
Dr David White / Recent Research into the Behaviour of Pressed-in Piles
The latest and essential knowledge about the press-in engineering was presented, which has been attained by researches of 15 Giken Scholars during past 13 years and Dr White’s further research and development with co-operative professors and colleagues.
Dr Goh Teik Lim / Press-in Piling Technologies, Current State of Art
As a member of Giken group, Dr Goh presented the press-in principle, variation of silent piling technologies, major achievements for disaster countermeasures and urban re-generation, and on-going development for future press-in applications.
Emeritus Prof. Kozo Tagaya / How to improve Press-in Method
Emeritus Prof. Tagaya of Kochi National College of Technology presented the Map of Research and Development, which includes basic researches and applications. Based on that, his field research with Giken technical staff was also presented as Evaluation of Soil Plug.
